And in the End..

I tired my best to be prepared for the madness I know was coming in April and May, but alas, I was not.  The inevitable last minute scramble happened, things didn't fit or work (or both) I almost broke a toe and I didn't sleep for about a week.. but in the end I finished setting up my room and the Show House opened its doors.  Now, for the entire month of May, my space will be toured by visitors from all over Western New York, so exciting and so surreal.  As is this.

Getting closer at the Show House.  Might start moving furniture in tomorrow.  More photos to come!

Wallpaper, gone!

Yesterday we were finally allowed into the show house to begin working and of course my first task was to remove the wallpaper. With the help of my parents, Jock and Bets, and a powerful Sherwin Williams product, Piranha, what looked like a daunting task only took about five hours.

Big thanks to Jock and Bets for the helping hand!  My next task will be sanding and prepping the walls for paint, which as of now I'm thinking will be Sleigh Bells.  Stay tuned.. 

Show House

The start date for the Decorators Show House is approaching and I thought I'd share some of my Cad drawings and furniture ideas. Getting excited to start setting up!

Upcoming project

I'm doing the Decorators Show House this year in Buffalo. Today we had our first official meeting and time alone in our space to take pictures, measure and contemplate design ideas and things. My room is a small bedroom on the second floor, here's some of the pics I took of the space as is. Obviously the wall paper's coming down, although I feel like Anthropologie could probably make it work..

We aren't allowed in the house again for awhile, but I'll be sure to update you all with my progress along the way!
