Nest Has Moved!

Buffalo's once very chic but very small store Nest has expanded!! Brooke opened her doors in December revealing a space about five times the size of the old location, and with more space comes more fabrics, an exclusive furniture line and more accessories for the home..like my favorite the mounted porcelain horse head. Fun. If you live in the area swing by and check out her..

creative wall accents and decals

oasis of fabrics available to interior designers, clients or walk-ins

fantastic table top displays and apothecary jars..

and the horse head!

So hard working!
Good luck Brooke, Buffalo is lucky to have you.

More From John Robshaw

While riding the New York City subway a couple of days ago, I was reflecting upon the wonderful ease and convenience of the city's public transportation system..just then my train zoomed by the 18th St. stop I intended to get out on. Turns out my express train was going to take me all the way to 34th St..but after turning around and finding the local train I needed, I eventually made it to my destination: John Robshaw's showroom.

What an exciting space. The floor to ceiling cubbies were filled with beautifully rich pillows, linens and comforters in different patterns and vibrant colors.

Beyond his amazing textiles, the showroom displayed Robshaw's beautiful rug and antique furniture collections.

I could have spent all day rummaging through the mounds of pillows and vintage tapestries, but after an hour in the space I was contemplating redecorating my entire house..time to go.

..also loved the block printed and camel stationary.

Chairs: about so much more than sitting..

Before John and my flight departed from Colorado we visited the Denver Art Museum. The buildings architecture alone is enough to warrant a visit, but of course what really got me excited was the collection of iconic 20th century chairs. Heaven.

To me these delicate pieces are like art, the fact that you can sit on them is just an added bonus. Their beautiful wood work and perfectly proportioned silhouettes would make them the star of any interior (smiley face), if only you could afford them (frowny face).

There are those who find amazing deals on midcentury modern pieces everyday in thrift stores or at estate sales..but for the less patient, here are a couple great online resources.

Thanks for showing us around Denver Steph!
